We are just back from JD's which is quite a ride. Since we broke out
of the ice and snow of Vermont (a day late as the weather was
not on our side) we perhaps appreciated the weather this year more
than most. I am SURE that we were the only ones there with studded
snow tires! The facilities at the new site were outstanding. An
indoor, large rooms for dinner, hook-ups, lovely pastures to park in
and no Route 1 traffic. The owner of the facility walked around to
make sure all of us were comfortable, how nice! The trail was great,
although the sand does take it's toll. It did rain later in the day,
but it was JD's and expected. As far as I was concerned it was not
snowing so what was the problem? The next morning there was a
smiling JD pulling us all through the gate with his tractor, what a
guy. Amazing how "sand" can turn to "goo" like that. It was very
nice to attend a ride that was put on "for the love of the sport"
like this one is. Our thanks to all that worked on the ride and
congratulations to all of the riders!!
