I don't consider a 100' x100' space a "pasture". Well, maybe here in So.
Calif. ;-) First of all the owner can do and charge whatever they darn
please. Better run, well managed stables are at a premium and there is a
reason. I do think it is common that the larger the area, the more
money. Exceptions for many horses in pastures that are measured in
acreage.
Don't compare the 50'x50' paddock in price to the 100'x100', compare the
price to other facilities. As long as you pay what YOU feel is fair.
The owner thinks in terms of "per head" as their costs are feed and
cleanup.
