The Fox Trotter's movement is quite different from the TWH or Paso. It =
is also a four beat gait, they walk with the front and trot with the =
hind feet, move in a diagonal gait (left front - right rear), with one =
foot always on the ground, slide their hind feet, and compound it with a =
lot of head bobbing. It is a very rhythmic gait, but has an off tempo =
sound, very hard to describe. If I have my track shoes on, I can =
sometimes get her to do a more "normal trot", but even then it is very =
distinguishable from an Arabs trot.=20
Fortunately, the ride vets seem to recognize that it is her natural =
movement, and don't try to compare it to other breeds in judging motion =
& soundness.=20
