Re: Clover



For what it's worth, I had a horse die several years ago of clover SEED.  He
ate some seed, it caused a toxic reaction with an exteme amount of gas in
the stomach...it ruptured after about 14 hours of walking and trotting...on
the trailer ride to surgery.
The other horse, on the other hand, ate the same seed for the same amount of
time (15 minutes..they got into a bag in the garage), and had no effect at
all.

I think it is the white alsike clover that horses don't like.
