trailers and gooseneck driving

Hi,

I have 2 questions that relate to the trailer
discussion.

1)I have a stock type trailer with the one big door. I
am ok with it but it is nearly impossible to load a
horse by myself on a windy (or even breezy) day as the
door does not have any easy way to secure it open. The
trailer and the windows are high so using a rope does
not work that well. Does anyone have a solution that
has worked well for them? Also I tie the last horse
(most reliable) in and then close the door - there is
no chain/butt bar. Is this usual for a trailer with no
dividers?

2) I am used to driving a bumper pull 2 horse but am
still working on comfortably driving the 4 horse
gooseneck with a large dressing room. Does anyone have
any tips for driving (and turning)a largish gooseneck.
