Owyhee Canyonlands
Multi-Day Endurance Ride
September 23 - 27 Oreana, Idaho
Five Days of Owyhee fun & adventure! Ride
along a variety of trails, with incredible views and canyon stretches, historic
ranches, Oregon Trail, Snake River, World Center for Birds of Prey. And
then come back to the ranch for hot showers, happy hour and dinner!
5 days of Endurance rides, 4 days of LD rides.

Trail:
All days will start and finish at the same basecamp at the Oreana Ranch.
Crew and drivers not needed. Each day will be a different trail:
Day1:
Castle Creek 50 – scenic trail to Castle Creek, magnificent canyon views, vet
check at the TX Ranch, back to camp through the badlands. Some rock in first
half of trail.
Day
2: Hart Creek 25/55 (new trail) – Loop above and around Hart
Creek Canyon. Some rocky sections.
Day
3: Wild Horse Butte 30/50 – Oregon Trail, sand washes and cow
paths over to the Snake River. Good footing.
Day
4: Sinker Canyon 30/55. Ride through scenic Sinker Creek
Canyon beside towering
canyon walls, cottonwoods, raptor nests in the cliffs. Very
rocky through the canyon (4 miles).
Day
5: Pickett Creek 25/50 and Trail Ride. All holds in camp, ride
ridge tops, cow trails, and 2-track. Footing will be generally good.

horses, hot showers, wireless internet, and happy hour!
