PNER AwardsOne of the main activities of PNER is year-end awards in many different categories. The awards list is grouped in three separate sections. The first section lists the awards that the PNER Points Secretary automatically calculates. You should monitor the Newsletter and/or website and alert the Points Secretary of any error you might find in your points. The second section lists the awards for which you MUST nominate. The Points Secretary is unable to determine your eligibility for these awards without your help. Please send an email to the Points Secretary, with the information requested on the Eligibility Declaration Form in the Handbook (or send the form by regular mail). Most of the awards requiring nomination have an August 1st deadline for declaration. The third section contains the awards that don’t fit in the first two categories. The fine print: To receive any PNER awards, members must pay their annual dues before the ride they wish to count for points/miles/awards. Riders and horses will receive no points, miles or completions toward PNER awards when the horse is ridden by a non-PNER member. All PNER awards are for achievements in a single ride season. PNER does not track lifetime points, mileage or completions. Only rides within the PNER region will count towards PNER awards. Rides must submit results to the PNER Points Secretary to be recorded. Please refer to AERC/PNER rules. PNER Points scale is printed in the PNER Handbook. Juniors receive full points regardless of number of junior starters. For accurate record keeping be sure to use the same name for yourself and your horse all year!!! Errors must be reported directly to the Points Secretary.
