Re: Wet blankets



    The term "wet blankets" (as I understand it) means wet saddle blankets,
as in, working the horse hard enough to make him (or her!) sweat.  I've usually
heard it from a Western-y trainer referring to a young, hyperactive horse,
"All that one needs is a wet blanket, that'll calm him down."
    But there may be another usage I'm not aware of.
