breeding question

My father in-law recently purchased an older Arabian stallion.  My question is, has anyone ever heard of Amaretto (question in the spelling)?  I would like to breed my older Arab mare to him, but I am not sure if he produces good endurance horses.  He is the older style Arab, very typy and big.  He looks like he would make a good endurance horse, and my mare is 15.3 (unsure of his height).  If anyone knows more info on him, I would love to hear from you!  Yes, I have spoke with my father in-law, and he does think he would produce  good endurance horses, but I think I would like to hear from the "experts" here on Ridecamp.  He (my in-law) does not endurance ride...
