Aussie Saddles

I am an Aussie and I ride in a Wintec Pro Stock (not sure if that is what
it would be sold as in the US), I absolutely love it. It's nice and light
so you don't collapse when removing it after a long ride. The knee pads
are angled forward so they don't get in your way during trotting but they
give the extra security when it is needed but not too much if you need to
fall off. Sometimes it is better to fall off than get stuck in your
saddle! I haven't really had any fitting problems, although after 6 months
conditioning and my horse changing shape I did have to get the gullet
widened but other than that, its great and fits well now. Having grown up
always riding in a stock saddle I still find it difficult to feel secure on
any horse in any other type of saddle until I ride in it a lot, it's like
wearing a seatbelt.
