Hi Gay -- I keep my arab's mane short -- about four inches long.  Otherwise on
hot days, I have to braid to keep him cool.  Soooo I would think that a
roached mane would be quite cool and comfortable.  Only problem I see is what
do you hang on to on those steep inclines (i.e., Cougar Rock)?
