Hi all!
   Just a quick hint on washing tack, make sure you double or triple rinse
saddle pads to make sure all the soap comes out. I had a spunky mare have a
very bizarre reaction to soap in the pad. Someone else washed the pad and
thought it may be a good idea to cut corners. 
  This mare lost her mind on the trail and plowed backwards at full steam
through a line of 6 horses on a narrow trail forcing one over a cliff and mass
hysteria. When I unsaddled her her back was swollen, and within a few days the
hair fell out on her back, and she had scabby sores that took weeks to heal.
