Arlene's accident

To every one who sent messages and had thoughts of encouragement for Arlene
Morris after her accident a week ago I wish to say thank you very much. She
came home from the hospital on Christmas afternoon, a better Christmas
present could not have been asked for.

She went for a CAT scan of her neck this morning and then visited the
neurosurgeon this afternoon. Even though the spinal damage was more
extensive than first thought, it was, at the same time, more stable than
thought. So, she is looking at at least a month of wearing a cervical collar
(except when eating, sleeping or showering. And guess what she is planning
to most of the time?)

So, with the good wishes and thoughts you all sent our way she IS on the
road to recovery She will, as far as we now know, have no permanent
debilitation and be back riding this summer.

Again, thank you all for your support and don't forget those helmets.
