who cares about trails

Teresa Van Hove tvanhove@uswest.net
Why should I get excited over trails - my RM's are still
putting on rides?

Surely AERC can do whatever it takes to support trails with
my $10 family membership fee cant they?

So what if competition access is closed on some of the
more rugged trails - we can race faster and better
monitor the horses on road courses anyway, leave those
trails only for training rides (if that?)

Is this how you all feel about trails? Cuz it sure seems
like it - there have only been a tiny handful of responses
to Bob's post about how to use the trails funds and the posts
on the immediate possibilities that the FS will change the rules
so that millions of acres of national forest will be managed like
wilderness (THAT MEANS NO RIDES) horses are allowed on wilderness
but NOT organized competitions. Not to mention that Clinton
would love to implement wilderness/national parks/ national
monument status on millions more acres of federal land -NO ITS
NOT IN ANY danger of turning into condo's this is just about
limiting what the citizens of this country can do on THEIR
national lands.

but who cares - any of you?

Teresa (beating my head against the wall ) Van Hove
