Variable response to supplementing with carbo's

There's a featherweight racer in the NE region (can't remember her name --
she's from Maryland) who has said that when she tried using something like
Carbo Charge in a race it caused her horse's pulse to hang.  Never had the
problem before or since.  (Read this in an article by Bobbie Lieberman.)
