Randy is one of the most sensible, non-reactionary, and articulate members of 
the BOD and I'm proud to have him as president.  He is a good leader, a hard 
worker, and has produced some brilliant ideas that have come to fruition, the 
sponsorship being one of the most notable.  If it weren't for that, we'd 
probably be bankrupt by now.  

And isn't it fantastic the way Arabian Horse World has picked up endurance 
riding again?  It used to do a few stories on endurance, but then starting to 
devote much content on flat-track racing.  That's when I lost interest and 
dropped my subscription.  The coverage of endurance has been so great lately, 
I've had to re-subscribe.

To the nay-sayers out there, endurance is on a roll, good horses are 
commanding higher prices than I've seen in 30 years, and good equipment will 
always sell well.  Support the organization, don't knock it!  If it weren't 
for the organization, there wouldn't be the sport and the marketplace for 
your products.  Remember, the sport started first, but the needs and wants of 
the riders caused AERC to be formed and to continue the sport in an organized 
manner.  AERC is not the enemy, it is YOU.  It's been said before ... if you 
don't like the way things are going, run for office yourself and help change 
things.
