    This "cure" might be considered to be worse than the problem---but I
have found that a few emus in the pasture keep the dogs out---help
desensitize the horses for future "emu alerts" -- and provide me with a lot
of laughs.   It is quite a sight to see a couple of emus in full attack mode
chasing a dog or coyote.  The horses have learned to just sit back and watch
the fun, too.
