Great horseman! We are losing a tradition.
George Cardinet (age 90) remembers Nick. Said at the time they started at
Tahoe City then up the trail to Squaw. Florence Leon is celebrating her
100th birthday today (in all local newspapers) she was one of the founding
members of Concord Mt. Diablo Trail Ride Association. Another long distance
rider - long distance riders live a long time!
