The way it explained it in the info from the place in Oregon that raised the clean fescue was that if it was not cut at the right time it could become infected, something to do with letting it go too long. Anyway we decided that sometimes the weather made it so the hay wasn't cut at exactly the right time so we went with another grass. Also people are leary of the Fescue due to the bad reputation.
