HMMM. We do that with our stallion for breeding too. When we used pads on 
him we always duct taped the feet to hold the silicon in, so he's never 
connected it solely to breeding.
The only real breeding signal we have is the halter & stud chain, and we 
only breed at home, in one certain place.
