Closer to reality

Endurance in Egypt just might happen.  Tony and Marcy Pavord stopped by
Cairo on their way from the Gulf and gave a talk for a very small group at
the Club. We would have liked more people there but the organiser didn't
give much notice and the price was a little steep, and it was arranged for
just about the worst weekend possible. Part of the problem is that the
endurance is being organised by one of the breeders and there are politics
within politics.  Nevertheless, it was wonderful to meet (at least for me!)
Tony and Marcy and to talk face to face with some real endurance people. It
was also nice to get verification that you all exist and are not just a
figment of my computer and my imagination!! I gather that they've met quite
a few of the Ridecamp folk....they had VERY good things to say about Heidi.
Marcy says that she'll email me a bunch of training stuff that I can pass
on.  Now if we can just keep the group that is supposedly organising things
focussed on the task at hand....
