Actually, Joane, I had a ball dragging around through the sand.  I got paired 
off with Lucie Hess, who was wonderful to work with, and we had an all-day 
lesson in comparative religion and culture from our Muslim Pakistani driver, 
who was extremely articulate, curious about our culture, willing to talk 
about his, and a real hoot.  With the single digit humidity, the temp was 
quite bearable--with all the free bottled water we could drink and plenty of 
food, we were just fine.  I got to see herds of camels, lots of country, and 
all sorts of stuff that those of you in the "oasis" missed!  Nope, I thought 
I had a really super job!!
