Re: RC: RC: An idea for LD rides

There are several reasons I can see for not starting 25's first.
1: Since 50's have 12 hours to complete, they are entitled to as much
daylight as possible. In early Spring & Fall, especially in parts of the
country where the winning times are 6-7 hours, darkness is a problem.

2: Unless the 50's were delayed the 1 1/2, the conservative riding 25's
would get run over by the frontrunning 50's.

3: Now we're back to the issue of whether 25's should be racing at all &
whether to format should be maintained for learning, or just another race
distance.
