Washoe 50 vs. Oroville

Hi Dovie,

IMO trying to compare those two rides is like apples and oranges. Time of
year, altitude, weather, footing are totally different. I agree with Karen
that the weather and humidly (at least compared to Nevada which is bone
dry) played a part in Oroville as our horses really have a load of winter
coats by now. They are shedding the first of May and we are going into
warmer weather. At Washoe you have much straighter trails, no trees (gad,
you can see ahead) and longer, more gradual climbs. Not so at
Oroville. No, Oroville was not a piece of cake but both my horse and I
loved that trail. What fun we had weaving in and out!
See you on the trails (next year). We done for this season!
