Shagya for endurance?

I've kinda sorta started looking at faster breeds than my MFT to ride LD and maybe 50's with.  I thought about breeding my QH mare to an Arab for a foal, but I don't think it's the best option I have.

So I've been doing some reading, and have gotten interested in Shagya Arabs.  Had a bad experience with a stark raving mad ASB, and thought the Shagya's looked about like my speed of horse.  Roger's posts about the mellow Omni didn't hurt either. :-)  Thought I would start by gathering info from a breeder in Colorado.  If anyone on the alias is riding a Shagya, I'd love to hear from ya.

Thanks -
