Hoof Picking...

     Hi,

     This may be late and already asked, etc. because I've been going
     through 6 or 700 emails today but -

     How do you know if there's a rock stuck in the frog cleft if you don't
     pick out the surrounding dirt/mud?

     Just curious.

     Kenzie

Dear Karen;
I have another idea to help out: don't bother picking out the feet.
Unless there is a specific reason, like a rock stuck in the foot, new
research says that the natural pack of dirt keeps the horse's foot
healthier.
