The Duck has sent to all current participants (78) the following
questionaire.... FYI
1. Are you planning on riding everyday yourself?
2>Are you planning on trading off days with a partner?
3> How many non riders will accompnay you?
4. Are you planning on sharing a rig with someone else?
5> How many horses do yo plan to have with you at any one time?
6. What kind of rig do you plan to use?    gas? diesel?
7. How many miles can yo safely go between fill ups? (GOOD Question!!)
8. What kind of mileage do expect out of your rig?
9. Have you participated in any multi-day rides before?
10. Would you prefer to camp in unimproved areas or  would you prefrer
to stay in campgrounds with hook ups?
11. How much water do YOU plan to carry? (Hey Duck! I need a pond to
paddle in!)
12. How much feed do you plan to carry?
13.  Bad Luck....
14. How often do you need to get to a town for supplies?
15. Do you know what a GPS device is?
16. Do you know how to operate a GPS devices? (competently?)
17 Are you comfortable orienting yourself to a map? ( That is why I
married Michele)
18. Are you confident in your abilities to follow a map and written
directions? (Hello Duck! how about flagging the migration route!)
19. Will you have access sto a laptop computer with a cd rom by the time
of the ride? (huh?)
20. How many nights a week do you plan to eat ride camp meals? ( ALL if
cooked by Jeff Herten and crew!)
21. Would you like to stay in a motel once in a while ( In my lifetime!
or on this ride? Of course)
22. What size jacket do you wear? What size T-shirt what name do you put
on it?  (Duh, mine....)

Oh, this is going to be one special, fun experience....only with the
Duck!!
