So far, the 25's I have done were completed on:

1.  An overweight Appaloosa that I had owned for one month and hadn't
conditioned at all...came from a backyard owner who never rode him.

2.  A horse a friend bought 4 days before the ride.

3.  A mule pulled out of the field.

I believe I've only done those 3.  I don't think I'd have much problem
completing in 6 hours on one of my ponies.  Granted, none of these horses
could have gone for a LD *win*, but I was thoroughly disgusted when the
lady I sold the Appaloosa to knew about his LD completion and claimed he
was "an endurance horse".  He did not have the capability to do
endurance.
