I agree!  A friend and I put on a CTR every July, and one thing we insist on is good awards.  I've gotten very good at begging...    But at a time when a lot of rides are cheapening awards, we do whatever we have to in order to insure the awards are nice.  We have a 20-mile novice ride as well, and try to make sure everyone gets something in addition to their completion T-shirt.  And we love to make over the juniors (of course, half of them are from our barn!).

Mickie and Akela (who toook a junior on her 1st Novice ride and placed 4th out of 38, thank-you!).  Ohio
