Hi Celia! Welcome!! CTR = Competitive Trail Ride. LD = Limited Distance.
Now, if you're going to be a true Ridecamp devotee, you'd better get the rest
of the acronyms down pat: Here is a partial list: LOL = Laugh Out Loud, BTW
= By the Way, ROFLMAO = Rolling On The Floor Laughing My A$$ Off (sorry,
kids). I've actually come up with some others, but decided they weren't
"kid" appropriate :)) Also, if we get sidetracked onto a subject that tends
to get beaten to death (like the LD thing) Angie can usually be relied on to
step in and tell us exactly what's gonna happen next , so we don't have to
"go there" in reality. Works great (Angie, where are you?). Howard's
stories are apparently not entirely factual (Howard, you big fibber), so take
them all with a lick of salt (mine too). If you're feeling lonely or bored,
here are some topics to start Ridecamp smoking: LD (Limited Distance),
Juniors leaving their sponsors (had no idea that was a hotee), Allowable
substances (whooha, that's a good one), pretty much any type of bit
(particularly WHY yours is better than everybody else's), Size of horse vs.
size of rider (weight challenged riders seem to get pretty into this one).,
well this isn't a comprehensive list, but it will get you started. See you
on Ridecamp! :)

Sylvia, Harca, Star & Chance (we kinda wish she'd just shut up and ride)
Seriously -- have you checked out the site at endurance.net? really good
information in the archives and you can read Angie's rules there -- a must
for new RCers!
