I'm pretty sure there is--but I don't know what it is.  But basically, you 
want to relate cannon length to forearm length, with a long forearm and a 
short cannon.  As to horses more or less the same size where one is 
longer-legged than the other--you have to also figure out where you are with 
body depth, shoulder length and angle, and all that, and see where it works 
out in the overall balance, which to me is the most important thing of all.
