Fort Valley - p.s.

I forgot to mention that our horse - Sukaro HCC -
achieved his 3000 mile patch this weekend! He's
one of the Hyanis Cattle Co. horses - out of
Kosciusko - the Russian import, and really a heck
of a horse. He was brought in off the range as a
two year old, and (so the story goes) was such
a rogue, that he was given to the first person that
could catch him. Marilyn McCoy was the lucky person,
broke him, and he was eventually bought by Jim and
Clydea Hastie (apparently he went through a few
other owners before he found his match in Jim).
We bought him from Jim and Clydea a few years ago
and he's been John's high mileage horse - he's not
what one would describe as 'sweet' - but he is
one tough sucker. Marilyn recognized him at the
Timberon a few years ago - he's big and rangy
and pretty distinctive looking. We chatted about
him for a while, and Marilyn's final comment
was 'that horse is tougher than snot!'

He's our first 3000 mile horse - and we're pretty
proud of him!

Steph
