Uh-Oh! The LD thing again

Howard!  I loved your story.  BUT.....the vets are there to protect the 
horses.  Not just give a completion to a cute kid.  If the horse gets 
overridden, he gets overrriden and definitely should not be given a 
completion.  It hurts, but maybe that's how people learn (yup, even cute 
kids) to slow the heck down and take care of their horses.  Giving a 
completion because "he's done anyhow" just doesn't cut it for me.  Also, I 
don't want to rain on your parade (and I'm sure this will start the flames of 
Ridecamp, big time), but I don't see the accomplishment in "winning" a 25 
miler!  An accomplishment to finish (especially for a 10 year old kid), but 
to "win" it?  Uh-uh -- hopefully, placings aren't even recorded.  I do love 
your stories though!
