Re: Scratches..

I tried Clearasil (like for those teenage pimples) for scratches and it seemed to work better than the other things that are commonly suggested.  I put it on twice a day and washed the area about twice a week with Head and Shoulders Shampoo.  Improvement started very shortly; however, my horse had a mild case when I began treatment.

You might give it a try.

Subject: RC: Scratches..

Forgive me for reintroducing this subject , I seem to recall there was discussion on this a while back....I purchased a mare at an auction recently coming from'' the wets of Washington state''and she has scratches on all four legs up to knees and
hocks, I had the vet out as she is in foal and wanted her examined, he suggested
Benadyne scrub daily, I have done this for a week , but no changes I can see...is there a better approach to this problem ? It is stubborn !!! Any home or good `ole farm remedies ? Thank you    Sherrie McClain and FS Radar, now Jesta Barpasser with bumpy legs....
