RE: Re: Re: The horse that hit Jim Oury (to Anna & Joe)

Angels fear to tread in many places but, not being an angel I will tread
here.

First, remember that the AERC is essentially a volunteer organization. The
office staff gets paid but no one else does. The authors of the articles in
the AERC News, as far as I know, do not get reimbursement for their efforts.
So! Who wants to author an informative, supportable by peer review, article
for the AERC News for free?

I am very sure that Doyle would welcome any and all content for the News.
When you send it in remember that it will be read by many of the AERC
members who will not hesitate to comment on the content.

So perhaps we should contact Doyle Patrick about this (actually Jerry
Fruth's suggestion to me when I commented a similar thing to him about EN)?
Perhaps they could publish people's ride stories? :) Really though, I
would like to see more articles about the very things (endurance related)
that we discuss on ridecamp. Hoof care, nutrition, what to do about
scratches, the joys of feeding beet pulp (or whatever your favorite secret
ingredient is), etc. I like the ride results (who doesn't like to see
their name in print even if it is only for completion?). But MORE
INFORMATIVE ARTICLES PLEASE, DOYLE!
