I've used it on a wire cut with the same success you speak of, both the spray 
and cream, I think its great stuff personally.  I did here from a local 
saddlery and supplies that they were taking it off the market a few years 
back because, they said, it was a carcinogenic.  But I haven't heard anything 
else about it, its being sold both the spray and cream in just about all the 
catologs I have and the stores.
