I guess I feel the need to add my two cents.  I live in Oregon, and although it is wet in places, I think it is a wonderful state for horse people.  We have the best of both worlds here.  We have high mountains, beaches, and dessert.  I have a ton of places to go riding in the mountains that are safe for horses, and eastern Oregon is full of places to ride as well.  I would hihgly recommend Oregon as the Best place to ride.
