Re: Certified Weed Free Feed Dictum by Feds

Thanks, Connie. I'd appreciate it and I will write to my congresspersons.
The whole thing reminds me of a lecture I once heard given by a vet who was
part of a research team to study birth control for wild horses. He said
that they had developed a substance (not the right word but I can't think
right now) which they could inject in a stallion by darting him from the
air. The substance would dramatically reduce the stallion's sperm count
(and the number of his offspring) for up to a year. By darting the
stallion, the BLM would NOT HAVE to round up mustangs and the family groups
could remain intact. HOWEVER, the government and, presumably, the BLM would
have none of it. They preferred to yahoo around chasing mares and foals and
destroying families. So much for family values. Bottom line, I'm a
government person myself, but I do think the downside of democracy is that
the lowest common denominator wins out so often.
