Re: fees



I believe you are correct, the collection of fees, etc. associated with
LD was waived for rides less than 20 miles, on a temporary basis.  If "0
to 49" is passed in the new Bylaw vote, then I suspect this policy will
continue, at least on an interim basis...but I continue to have concerns
about calling rides less than 20 miles and rides in excess of 35 miles -
Limited Distance.  I don't believe there is an insurance problem
associated with rides that are obviously "fun rides" (less than 20
miles)being held and insured in conjunction with a sanctioned endurance
ride, and I believe we are opening a pandora's box by allowing LD rides
in excess of 35 miles.  I do see rules problems if AERC must address the
many current rules that are impacted by defining LD as "0 to 49" miles.
