This year at an Xp ride, Dave had an hour & half  lunch hold on one of the 
days.  I  think he said it was to help the horses because it was an easier 
trail that day  and it waould help the horses that were going fast.  I loved 
the extra time  and I was really taking it slow.      The horses chowed down 
the whole time.  I am very much in favor of  longer holds even on 50's.
