Calm down, Maggie. I instantly put myself in their shoes and felt the horror
I'm sure we would all feel if we gravely injured someone with our horse or
our car. Nevertheless, SOME lawyer, SOMEWHERE could conjure up a case
against the riders, just as participants in vehicular accidents have been
prosecuted. It is something to bear in mind...equestrians are not exempt
from the laws of the land.

On the other hand, not having been there to see the finish line scenario, I
cringe at the possibility that a truck could have so successfully blocked
the raceway at such a critical stage. All the ingredients of disaster...
