Re: White hairs on a chestnut

Lif, this is exactly how my mare is marked. She is a golden chestnut with a
wide blaze and a flaxen mane. She also has roaning through out, tho' very
light. As I said before, she whites up even where there isn't any pressure,
and even has roaning on her face where the old headstall fit. I did have a
saddle maker check out the saddle on her before I started training her for
endurance, and he said at that time it fit her properly, tho' I did have to
have work done on the western saddle that turned out to be a problem with
the tree. She has muscled up alot, and trimmed down, but I would have
thought this saddle would have fit better, since it was used on my other
endurance horses that had similar backs to how hers is now. I wonder if this
white hair could be the what disappeared and is returning with her winter
coat. Is that possible?  Becky said to talk to Jim or Marci. I will call
Marci, she was my mentor to this sport, and get her opinion. She can tell if
the saddle is fitting correctly. Marci??? are you listening???
I guess I am hoping what with all the other signs of white hairs that this
may not be saddle fit.
