Not all of this can be tack related. Im sure that some may be, but my horse
is a three year old mare that i just got in January and have only ridden
about 10 times and these spots show up in areas that NO TACK AT ALL has ever
touched. This mare has been out in pasture caring for her foal, and the foal
also has weird white spots that just started, At four months.  On top of all
that i have a mule that has progressively been getting whiter each year
since she was born. thes white spots do not all appear in areas where the
tack is rubbing her either.  And since she started this before i ever rode
ther then there must be other reasons. Like genetics. It is possible, that
some horses are genetically predisposed to getting roan or white spots.  So
why are you assuming that it is all tack related?
