Re: RC: Re: Which Myler bits?

Hi All!  I just realized that I should have emphasized that Mylers have quite a variety of bits but, according to the book, would be glad to help people choose the right bit (there's a phone # in the book).  They also like (and manufacture) hackamores which they say are especially good for horses that spend hours on the trail!
Sharlene, if your horses doesn't like bit in general, maybe he/she needs to visit a well trained equine dentist.

My daughter is using the one that has independant side movement and no
leverage, it's a 3 - piece, barrel mullen, or something like that.  It was
about $50.  She thinks the horse she rides really likes it.  I can't seem to
find one that my horse likes, I'm really thinking of ditching the bit thing
and finding an alternative.  I posted a question on halter/headstall
combos-and I've seen posting on Arab S-hackamores.  Is there any
overwhelming concensus on the best non-bit solution? (I had tried the Myler
full-cheek broken snaffle on mine.)
