Yet Another Treeless Saddle

I saw a treeless saddle being ridden at the Old Dominion ride this past
June, so when I saw the woman riding in it at the finish line of the 50
miler, I asked her what exactly it was. She had gotten the saddle,
which is similar to the SS, but more of an english style, from Valerie
Kanavy. Valerie is importing these saddles from Italy. They run right
around $500, are all leather, but come without fittings (stirrup
leathers, stirrups and girth). Well, I called up Valerie and had her
send me one. I use a cloud nine underneath of it, have rigged it up
with biothane leathers so the buckle isn't underneath my thigh and a
quick cinch from Sportack and it's like riding on a pillow. Every one
that has sat on it has had a response of "Ahhhhhhhh". So far it's been
great. Just thought I'd let everyone know there is yet another
alternative to a regular treed saddle.
