This isn't really about horse abuse, it's a response to Carla's E-mail comment on her husband's feeding practices.

My fiancee is CONVINCED that if he doesn't feed the horses (3 of them) at least two big bales of 2nd cutting hay a day, they will suffer a certain death of starvation.  During the winter he is worse, the count goes to a bale a piece for three arabs under 15.2 hands. 
 They really love it when daddy feeds.  He will actually make excuses to go outside and slip them more hay during the winter because he feels they must be eating at all times during the winter.
