It's a little late in coming (out of town and behind on ridecamp!) but I'd
have to agree with Heidi on this one. I work primarily with sheep and
cattle but have been involved peripherally with equine reproductive
research for years. I know with cattle that embryo transfer people
prefer younger donors of both sexes. For horses, the gut feeling among
people I've worked with is that if you have an old mare, your best bet is
a young stallion. All the usual disclaimers about "quality" apply.
