hot weather syndrome



The comment was made that a 20 minute hold in 40 miles seems 
too short.  Consider that the speed is much slower than most 
endurance rides and that in "normal" weather there are no 
problems, so one must assume that the system works until we hit 
the hot/humid stuff.  Again, what are we missing in adjusting our 
rules or horse care to take care of this?
