High altitude riding

We've been invited to ride for a week at Taos, NM in Oct. I've never
been there. I understand it is a high elevation and am wondering if I
need to do anything to get our horses acclimatized. The person who
invited us has taken his horse there before and says we shouldn't have a
problem. This will be a pleasure ride at the walk as I understand it.
Should I expect any problems? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Amber
