Austin TX Area

Hey,

Have an interview in Austin TX sometime in September. I would like some
feedback from anybody in that area.

If I get the job...

Will have to bring my horse out, obviously. What are the chances of me
being able to get a plot of land, put a mobile home on it, and fence it in
for my horse? Really expensive land? Is there pasture out there, or just
dust fields? Forgive me if I'm being ignorant..I don't know much about
Austin.

Failing being able to get land (or while I'm looking for land), are there
pasture board ONLY facilities that I could place my horse at that won't
break me while I'm paying back student loans? I don't want full board,
don't want somebody to feed my horse. I wanna do everything, but would like
him to be on pasture (not just a small paddock) with other geldings and
maybe mares (keeps him in line...put him by himself and he becomes
annoying).

I already checked the ride calendar...Looks like plenty of rides to choose
from in the state! :)

What about the weather? I checked a weather site and it looks like fairly
nice weather except for the dead of summer where it looks a little hot. :)

Any comments, good and bad, would be appreciated. Please reply privately
(adlee@bigfoot.com) so as not to clutter the list. :)

Thanks,
April
Chattanooga, TN (or soon maybe TX or maybe NC)
